Oriens Enhancer GOLD A milestone again with the release of Oriens Enhancer GOLD. The software is in Version 2.0.0 (Beta Release). Some very great functionalities and features are available in this version and the graphical interface are greatly enhanced with new and easy controls. Some New and Hot Features in Oriens Enhancer GOLD: 1) GIF Animator Cum Frame extractor. With this feature, you can view animated GIF image format and extract all the frames (constituent images) with live preview of all the available images that make up the GIF image. There is also an image File Treeview Browse control for easy search and view of GIF image. You can play, Pause, load, Unload currently animated GIF or you can Save all the Constituent Images in one time (Batch Save). You can start up this feature by going to Utilities > Extract Frames from Animated GIF or File > Animated GIF 2) Thumbnail Browser with full customization of thumbnail size Thumbnail browser is a must for every desktop user especially for those in editing digital images. The browser can display thumbnails from 40 different formats as listed in the supported image formats. You can customized the thumbnail size accordingly. You can double click to open up the particular selected image in a separate window for viewing and editing. You can get this feature by going Utilities > Thumbnails Browser 3) Screen Saver and Slide Show The coolness of Oriens Enhancer GOLD is not just in editing images, but also in generating Screen Saver and Slide show Executable on the fly. You have bought or use Screen saver utility to generate screen savers. But not anymore! With this GOLD release, Screensaver can be generated dynamically from 40 image formats with full user customization about the layout, colors and time elapsed. You did not even need to convert different images to a compatible format. Oriens Enhancer GOLD will intelligently convert all the different image formats to compatible format. The same is the case of generating Slide Show Executable. This feature is clubbed with Thumbnails browser for easy interfacing and manipulation. You can get to this feature by clicking Utilities > Generate Screen Saver/ Slide Show or if the thumbnail browser is opened, then click the Screen Saver Tab just below. 4) Image Executable with Special Effects Have you ever wanted your image to response to user's action like clicking the picture with the mouse? Would not be nice if you can send image that can response to user's action like clicking the mouse and the special effects show up within the image? you can make Executable ( will open by itself when clicked in Explorer) of any image with different effects. You just have to download the Effect Templates (OIT extension) from Oriens Enhancer GOLD homepage and just put in the Templates folder in the installation folder. By default, 2 templates are provided with the Setup.exe . Simple Image Exe will just make Exe of the your image with no effects. Watery Effect exe will generate water drop when user click the image. This feature greatly extend the use of images. You can get to this feature by clicking Utilities > Generate Image Exe with effects. 5) Icon and Image Extractor from EXE/DLL/OCX/FRX/CTX/DOX/DSX/ICO files. Have ever figure out that your system contains lots of binary files as listed above. This files contain Images and resources in binary forms and is just a matter of reading the bytes and extracting that part. With this feature, you can extract all the available images, Text, icons or any binary parts from binary files as listed above. The individual extracted icon is listed on the left preview box in 16 x 16 , 32 x 32, 64 x 64 formats according to the availability. You can saved the individual image or icon or you can saved all the listed images at one click (Batch Save). You can get this feature by clicking Utilities >Image Extractor from EXE/DLL ..... 6) Batch Converter of different image formats. Everyone sometime need to inter-convert between different image formats. But would not be easier for you if you can convert all the images in a particular folder in just one set go. Batch converter is such one utility that will be convert 40 different image formats to a particular format. You can also control the quality of the image. Supported image output formats are BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG, PCX, TGA, TIFF. You can get to this at utilities > Batch Converter 7) Generating Image Map for use in the Web Most of us have seen websites where when you click a particular area (may be circle, rectangle or polygon) leads to different links and pages. With this feature, you define the area (in Circle, rectangle or polygon) by drawing the particular shape in the image itself and adding it to the HTML boxes below the displayed image. Its a very handy tool and even novice user will find it pretty easy to use. You can preview the code in NOTEPAD or the output in Internet Explorer by just clicking. You don't have to manually save it. Follow Utilities > Image Map Generator 8) ASCII to PDF Converter PDF format is becoming the de-facto format for digital documents for sharing and printing. So if you have decided to publish your documents, then what better option can you get other than converting to PDF format with full customization of Fonts, Page Layout (height and width), font size etc. Only ASCII based Files (Characters stream formats) like Txt, html, xml, css, frm, rtf, ini, asp, cgi.......) can only be converted to PDF format. You did not need to have Acrobat Reader or any Software installed to use this facility. Follow Utilities > ASCII to PDF 9) Image Preview in File Open Dialog Box You have come across certain software whereby you can see the thumbnail preview of the selected image in the Dialog box itself.. just like in Adobe Photoshop. You can preview thumbnails of 40 popular formats. This ease the hindrance of finding the right image file in the traditional dialog box. Follow File > Open 10) Adobe Photoshop alike minimize, maximize tool box functionality. If you have used Photoshop, you will notice that the tool boxes on the right can be minimized ( just the title caption and some part of the window will be displayed) to make a larger area for viewing and editing. 11) File Association The ease of use also extends in making available the functionality to open up the clicked image file from the Operating System itself without implicitly invoking Oriens Enhancer GOLD. You can use this utility to associate all the supported image formats so that each open in Oriens Enhancer GOLD when clicked. You can even disassociate the formats and Oriens Enhancer GOLD will automatically restore the previous settings. The Image u saved from the SAVE AS command from the Menu Item of Oriens Enhancer or Adobe Photoshop is not actually compressed or altered and as such is large in size.. So the usefulness of this utility is that you can decrease the total number of colors or dithered or mapped... (much detail about these terms is beyond your thinking grasp) .. such that the size of that image drastically decreases.. upto whooping 95%... JPEG images compression ranges from 1-100 and saved in 24 bit only, GIF is available in 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 Bits with dithering (None, Binary , Ordered, Haftone, Forward Diag, Backward Diag, Horizontal, Vertical, Odd, even, equal) and color maps(MS Map,Optimal,Fixed Color,iNet,MS 256, Fixed Gray).... SOUNDS BLAZING.. PNG options include 8 Bit PNG and 24 bit PNG... TGA options include 24 bit (compressed/uncompressed)... PCX options include 24 bit(compressed / uncompressed) .... TIFF available with 24 bit (standard)... BMP options include (1,4,8,16,24) Bits save options with same dithering and color maps with that of GIF.... --Image Color Depth --- You can change the color depth of the image.. Available options are 1 bit, 4 bit, 8 bit, 15 bit,16 bit, 24 bit(High Color), 24 bit(True Color). --Text Applier with layers-- Layering concepts (as layers in photoshop if u have used) implemented in this Tool. You can move,edit or check its visibility to false or true... Can load as much layers u want .... The side pane shows all the layers with the text u have written in each layer.... To edit or move any layer.. just select that particular one from the pane. (photoshop user will use with ease)..... the only thing i have implemented layer is applying text only.. IN THE NEXT VERSION OF ORIENS ENHANCER, layers will be fully implemented and u can apply all the filters, effects and colors (which u normally apply to image at whole) to individual layer... --Icon Extractor for extracting any icons from any windows-- Cool utility whereby u can capture any icons from anything u see in your PC.. well any toolbar, image, windows or anything which is visible at your desktop..... you can extract it 16 x 16, 24 x 24, 32 x 32, 64 x 64 size.. You can even extract icon from the current active image in oriens Enhancer environment. can be saved at any size u want. (vii) Image editing Tools-- Brush, Airbrush, Fill, Gradient Applier, Selection, Textures, Color Picker etc.... here I particularly want to point out one very artistic tool, the Gradient Applier.. In these tool, you choose two colors, and when applied to your image by pressing your mouse and moving (will show line mode or circular mode depending on which mode you have chosen), the gradient between the two colors will colorize your image artistically. Recommended Pressure is 50 -70 and frequency 1. (viii) Clip History-- Have u ever wanted to maintain the history of clipboard especially when u want to paste the whatever image portion you have copied or cut to clipboard? Well it is 'yes' to say that Clip history is meant for that? (ix) Texture Applier:-- So u can apply textures from defined images, or make your own say , u can fill the images background with your name or your company name in whatever intensity u applied... All filters are available to give different visual textures. (x) Special Utilities whereby u can set the current image as the windows wallpaper in TILE, STRETCH or CENTER mode. u can capture your desktop, foreground or background application or say some specific part of the windows. (xi) Support for Twain and Digital Cameras.
